Had a really great week last week in Stratford upon Avon with Richard's Mum. Went shopping in MotherCare and spent loads of money and had a lovely Chinese one day. Did some shopping in the town including visiting Barry the Butcher and just basically relaxed which was nice.
Then the floods came. We went out to a little farm shop on Friday and I didn't think we were going to get back, there were feet of water and going through lots of ''rivers' was starting to effect our breaks. Luckily we managed to get back but I don't think the breaks would have held out much longer.
It was nice to take a break from work and spend some time with Richard's Mum and relax.
Need to get my head down to some serious work now till end of September.

Went to the midwife today for my 25 week checkup. All OK. She thinks I might be slightly bigger for 25 weeks and so we'll look at the 4D scan a little more closely in a couple of weeks. Nothing to worry about though and nothing they can do about it but worth monitoring in case baby gets really big later on. Also having a double check in a couple of weeks on my sugar level to confirm that I haven't got gestational diabetes. Should be OK though.
She went to check the heart beat and the baby kicked the monitor! He/ she seems to be certainly moving around a lot. I don't count each day because it's so active but it is nice to feel.
We had a suspect package in Portsmouth on Wednesday which caused chaos on the roads again on my way back from aqua-natal class. They're going to be closing one lane on Hope Street again for 3 weeks from next week to get the work done that they were trying to do when they burst the gas main. This will cause chaos again. Luckily I'm away next week but will expect a financial hit again the 2 weeks after.
Got quite a few people on holiday soon so am aiming to get my video piano lessons off the ground finally to generate a bit of extra income. I've been so sick and knackered I'd almost given up on it but rather than work myself into the ground thought I might invest a bit of time in getting this project off the ground. I'm hoping it will be a success and the money will come in very useful later on!
