Feeling much better now, sickness really worn off, touch wood, but lost just over a stone in weight now. Should be OK to put some back on as baby increases with weight now.
Had the ten week check up yesterday. Midwife still hasn't called so doctor said he would chase her up today, but having called the surgery today I found out she's on holiday, but she needs to book my 11-13 week scan so I called her office. They couldn't book me in until they've got the form from the surgery so I rung back and the receptionist said she'll fax it in. Is this the 21st century?
Anyway appointment was OK, blood pressure a bit high, urine OK but couldn't hear baby's heart beat yet (you can't always but would have been nice) so really want to get this scan ASAP now. Will call the surgery again tomorrow to confirm the form has been faxed in.
I spoke to another lady last week and she didn't get her first scan to 19 weeks! What is happening?!

Was feeling really well with being pregnant. Morning sickness was in the afternoon every other day and was hardly noticable.... until last week, and then it hit me, 2, 3, 4 times a day leaving me absolutely knackered! I had to cancel some of my 'away' clients because I didn't know if I could stay awake to complete the car journey, so I stayed at home and did the odd lesson with big rest periods in between. It's meant to ease off around week 12-13 and I hope mine does and isn't one of these that goes on and on. I know it's only natural and nature will do what it needs to do so am just taking things easy at the moment. Appointment on Wednesday with doctor for 10 week check up and then get a scan soon I hope.

Spike is out of hibernation and enjoying exploring the garden again!

I'm feeling fine although a bit tired today, I feel sick quite lot of the time but haven't been actually sick that much, I'm sure there are women who go through far more than me! I leave the house well prepared anyway with lots of bags and a bottle of water. I even bought a couple of Mars bars today for emergency supplies for energy to leave in my car and they're both still there, I really don't seem to fancy chocolate at all recently which has to be good news!
Anyway went to see Alexanda O'Neill in concert last week and he was really excellent, hope baby enjoyed it too! Off to see a Genesis tribute band this week.
1st antenatal appointment week after next.

Hooray! I'm pregnant! Baby due 22nd October!
Still early days yet but doctor confident all will go well.
Don't know if boy or girl yet and won't know for a while, maybe 2nd scan.
